Lisa, I generally make those letters personal to the person I am following up with at that time. However, there are a few things I keep in mind as I do make contact with them. If they have been active in church and are growing in their relationship with Christ. The letter is written in a way to celebrate the change that God has made in their life. At the same time to encourage them to stay consistent in their walk and their desire to grow in their faith. If they have moved away from the area or are not active in the church, the letter is written from the standpoint of a reminder. I want to celebrate their 1 year spiritual birthday with them and encourage them to get involved in a small group or invite them back to church. Additionally, depending on the size of your team, you may want to invite them to have coffee or a casual meeting just to find out about what God has done in their lives over the past year. I hope you find this helpful.

John, do you have any samples of the celebratory letter you mention for the 1 year follow up? As we prepare for people to respond to Christ this Christmas I feel like we have a good track record and system in place for our initial follow up, but am still looking for ways to say connected to people a year later. Thanks!
